Windows prerequisites?

• Intel® Pentium® processor
• Microsoft® Windows® 98 Second Edition, Windows NT®, Workstation 4.0 with Service Pack 6, Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 2, Windows XP Professional or Home Edition, or Windows XP Tablet PC Edition
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.01 or greater
• 64MB RAM (128MB recommended)
• 220MB available hard disk space
• 800x600 screen resolution minimum
• CD-ROM drive
• Java version 1.4.1 or later

Acrobat should be installed and running on the system. The installation directory (Acrobat_Home) will, by default, be in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 6.0, depending on the Acrobat version.

MacIntosh prerequisites?

MacIntosh G3 or later model, running OS X (10.2 or greater).

Acrobat should be installed and running on the system.

Acrobat 6 uses a package file. A package file is a way to simplify application folder layout. The hierarchy resembles that of an application folder but to a user the package looks like an application. By default the installation directory is Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Standard for Acrobat 6.0 Standard and Adobe Acrobat 6.0 Professional for Acrobat 6.0 Professional. For consistency in applications, copy the Acrobat 6.0 Standard package to the Applications directory. For convenience, you may rename Acrobat 6.0 Standard to Acrobat6.

NOTE: Updates of Acrobat may install in a different directory. For example, the Acrobat 6.0.1 update is installed in the Acrobat 6.0.1 Standard directory.

Acrobat features that are currently not replicated

Some Acrobat features are not currently replicated but are still available within the Acrobat session. Non-replicated features include:

• Text editing including cut and paste
• Digital signatures
• The Hand tool
• Edit tools - Forms tool, Touch-up tool, Crop tool, Movie tool, Link tool, Article tool
• File Attachments
• Drawing Markups - Cloud tool (Acrobat 7), Callout tool (Acrobat 7), Dimensioning tool, Arrow tool, Polygon tool
• Stamp tools are not backward compatible

Known Issues

Issue: The Rosebud plug-in Java component will intermittently hang when joining a session. When this happens the Joining Session progress bar and the Rosebud window will freeze.
Resolution: Until resolved, close Acrobat and restart the plug-in.

Issue: The Session progress bar displayed when joining a session may not automatically close.
Resolution:Until resolved, click the X to close the progress bar dialog.

Issue: The color of annotations may not be different for each participant.
Resolution: None. The color is randomly generated from the VGA base color schemes. The first 8 colors should be different but subsequent colors may appear the same.

Issue: The Bookmark pane may open during session join.
Resolution: None. The state of the Bookmark is determined by how the document was generated and as such is not part of the Rosebud program. Closing, opening, or using the Bookmark pane is replicated during the session.

Issue: The participant button in the Rosebud windows does not work.
Resolution: Until resolved, the count can be derived by the number of session entries on the Rosebud window.

Issue: The count of participants displayed on the Rosebud window does not include the Presenter.
Resolution: Until resolved, the number of session participants can be derived by counting the number of session joins in the Rosebud window.

Issue: When using dynamic stamps on Acrobat 6 on the MacIntosh the error 'callback not found: 118: Widget" is displayed.
Resolution: Until resolved, acknowledge the error until the no longer displays then place the stamp. The error will be displayed after placing the stamp, acknowledge the error until it no longer displays.
